about the city
Our capital city is located right at the heart of Europe. Also known as The Queen of Cities, the Mother of all Cities, and the City of a Hundred Spires. Its population is less than one-eighth as large as London’s, half as large as Rome’s and approximately a third as large as Berlin’s. Prague is one of the greenest capital cities, has a unique historical centre and is much more affordable than many other European capitals. Prague will satisfy all your educational or leisure desires, and it a major science and research hub. The city's historical centre has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1992. It is full of unique buildings and hidden corners – there is always something new to discover. Your fellow Czech students will surely give you some great tips about what to see and where to spend your free time between and after classes.
