I am a student ambassador studying medicine in English.
Why did I choose Charles University?
After coming to Prague and walking through the historic centre with its squares and bridges, I did not want to leave. I chose Charles University because I was looking for a universities that was accredited worldwide and that would enable me to realize my dreams. The availability of such a high standard English curriculum and the opportunity to spend six years in this beautiful city where you feel safe walking down the street are ultimately the main reasons why I chose to study at Charles University.
What do I like about my studies in Czechia/the Czech Republic?
There are so many advantages to studying here in the Czech Republic. During my studies I have learned a lot and got hands on experience that I wouldn't necessarily have had in other places. The studies are demanding but purposeful and with an equal distribution of theoretical and practical knowledge. I think the best part is the student culture that you see at the libraries and social spaces, where students from across all faculties come together to study and complete coursework.
Where do I see myself in five years from now?
Five years from now I would like to be specializing in a field I am yet to choose. After living in Prague for 6 years I would like to continue living in Europe. I see myself perhaps conducting research as well as traveling to rural parts of the world to help those who need it most.
